JE Lynch & Associates, LLC was founded in 2006 by John Lynch to provide solutions and support to the everyday challenges of independent specialty retailers. His retail experience includes 32 years of progressive management responsibility with 18 years in field management and 14 years in corporate management achieving the following positions:
John earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, and in 1996 achieved his MBA from Fontbonne University, St. Louis, Missouri, while employed full-time as an officer of Angelica Corporation's retail division, Life Uniform Company; a $93 million dollar national chain of 310 stores across 37 states. In 1990, John received special Loss Prevention training at the John E. Reid and Associates school of Chicago, Illinois. He was granted certification from Reid College after successfully completing a specialized course on the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation used by law enforcement officers. In 2000 his work was recognized by the National Retail Federation for developing an alternative approach to the traditional Mystery Shopping programs. A Best Practice award was presented and the winning strategy was documented in the book, A Key to Best Practices, by R.M. Erik Gordon and Baron A. Weitz. John is an Adjunct Professor of Business at Marian College, Indianapolis, teaching courses in Principles of Management, Small Business Management and Business Policy & Strategy. He also serves as a member of the Society of Industry Leaders and is a council member of the Gerson Lehrman Group Councils. And in 2007, he was elected to serve a three year term on the board of directors of PrimeLife Enrichment, Inc where he chairs the Board Development committee.
